The 100G QSFP28 CWDM4 is designed for 100G Ethernet links over duplex single‑mode fiber with a reach of 2km. It complies with IEEE 802.3bm, QSFP28 MSA, and the CWDM4 MSA (often referred to as the CWDM4 optical specification). On both the electrical and optical sides, it uses four lanes running at 25.78Gbps NRZ per lane – a mature, low‑latency architecture.
Inside the module, four CWDM wavelengths are multiplexed onto a single pair of LC connectors. This allows you to use standard duplex single‑mode cabling instead of parallel MPO‑12 fiber, which is a major advantage for upgrading from 10G or 40G infrastructure. The receiver side uses a PIN photodiode array to demultiplex the four wavelengths.

Power consumption is kept under 3.5W maximum from a 3.3V supply, with an operating case temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.
