Our 100G QSFP LR4 transceiver (part number MCQ‑4NSCLC‑10) delivers reliable 100G Ethernet over duplex single‑mode fiber for links up to 10km. Packaged in the industry‑standard QSFP28 form factor, this module is fully compliant with IEEE 802.3ba (100GBASE‑LR4), QSFP28 MSA, SFF‑8665, and SFF‑8636.
The LR4 approach uses four wavelength lanes over a single pair of fibers. On the transmit side, four DFB lasers operating on LWDM wavelengths each run at 25.78Gb/s NRZ. These four optical signals are multiplexed into one fiber. On the receive side, a PIN photodiode array demultiplexes the incoming signal back into four lanes. Electrical and optical modulation are both 4×25.78Gb/s NRZ, keeping the interface straightforward and widely compatible.
Power consumption is specified at 3.5W maximum from a single 3.3V supply – a modest budget for a 10km 100G module. The operating case temperature range is 0°C to 70°C, suitable for most data center and enterprise environments. The duplex LC connector is a familiar, easy‑to‑use interface that works with your existing single‑mode cabling.
