Q: What is the maximum distance for these DR4 modules?
A: All DR4 modules (200G and 400G) are rated for 500 meters on single‑mode fiber with FEC enabled. For longer reaches (2km or 10km), you would need FR4 or LR4 modules. If your link is between 500m and 2km, consider our FR4 series.
Q: How do I store unused DR4 modules?
A: Keep them in the original anti‑static bag, inside a closed box away from moisture and direct sunlight. Ideal storage temperature is 0‑40°C. Always insert the dust plug into the MPO‑12 port. Do not stack heavy items on top. This prevents dust contamination and ESD damage.
